Durchhalten – nicht aufgeben – ist das Thema des Songs »Gib Alles«. Wir alle haben Ziele, die wir erreichen wollen. Wir arbeiten daran, unsere Träume und Wünsche zu verwirklichen. Nicht immer ist das einfach und wir müssen (hart) dafür kämpfen. Das Lied handelt vom Wettstreit mit der Zeit und vom Wettkampf gegen sich selbst oder gegen andere, aber vor allem sagt der Text, wie unwichtig dies alles ist. Denn viel wichtiger, als nur an sich selbst zu denken und sich durchzusetzen, ist die Sorge um jemanden anderen.
Bei dem Text mag ich deshalb auch die Zweideutigkeit des Refrains: »Gib Alles! Gib immer alles! Gib alles her und noch mehr!« Das kann einerseits als Ansporn gemeint sein, ist aber auch ein Aufruf zum Teilen.
